Leipzig - With a Tourist from the Philippines

Here is another video of my listening assignment. It's about Leipzig. I learnt German language when I was in senior high school. That was the reason why I chose this city. It was like a flashback. I wish I can go there and travel to some famous places in this video. Aamiin.

Summary

Grace del Rosario is a Philippines tourist who is currently studying in the University of Leipzig. She walked around by foot to discover more about the city. She took some pictures of Leipzig’s icons. First, she went to Saint Thomas Church. Composer Johann Sebastian Bach once worked there. The music in the church was really smooth and soothing to everyone’s soul, which made them feel really closer to God. Second, she had lunch in a famous Auerbachs Keller restaurant. The poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once dined there. Goethe inspired by some of the paintings in that restaurant. There was a wall full of postcards. It was very artistic. Third, she entered the 110 meter-high Panorama Tower. She could view the whole city from there. She really loves Germany because it can preserve its architectures. Fourth, she went to Leipzig’s Baumwollspinnerel industrial complex. It was a home to artists’ studios and galleries. There was a sculpture, which was similar as Philippines’s national animal. It called Karabao. The last, she met Helge Hommes, a painter, in his studio. He constructed a 15 meters building in the middle of the forest. It was from plastics.
